John Kolibab won the high jump and Jack Rolf took the long jump for the Bombers. Orange’s Fred Roberts swept the 110 and 300 hurdles, Jacob Brister won the 100 and anchored the winning 4×100, and Michael Martin was the 1,600-meter champ. West Geauga won the girls title over Perry, 130-120. The Wolverines’ Chantel Richardson won the 100 and ran on the winning 4×200 and Allison Tyree won the 400 and ran on the winning 4×400. CONGRATS ROSS AND THE REST OF THE BOMBERS!
Also, this from Aunt Dodie: O, ROSS HENRY IS ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEWS HERALD SPORTS SECTION!!!!!!!!!!! The very first sentence in the article is announcing the fact that Kenston won the CVC by beating Orange 139-131….
“Kenston Freshman Ross Henry may have just competed in his first CVC Chagrin Division meet, but he didn’t need any pointers as far as the value of defending your home track.” Then the article quotes him “You don’t want any other team coming out here and beating you on your track,” Henry said. “It’s the track you train on, the track you sweat on, the track you bleed on. You’ve got to be. You want it. You want to own this track.” Ross placed lst in the 3,200.
Way to go Ross, good job and great quote!!!!!! I will send you the article. Aunt Dodie
