Kris and Cori sent the notes below. The family of 4 has settled into Ireland and looking forward to hosting Holly and Jerry’s wedding there this New Years Eve (this is scuttlebutt…Holly, send me something official, okay!?!) Check out their blog…I cut these pictures from there, there are many more!

Hi Family, We made it to Galway–we’re here, safe and sound. We had a great time in Cleveland and celebrated Simone’s 2nd birthday with lots of family and friends. We arrived in Galway on 8/17 (or 17/8 as Europeans say) –without losing any luggage or children–phew!, and hit the pavement looking for a place live. We settled on our new digs a week ago and are loving our 4th floor apt. which overlooks the harbor. We watch boats sail in and out all day long. Very fun! We’re also walking distance to the library, playgrounds, restaurants/cafes, and most importantly, Irish pubs;) Also, there’s a path along Galway Bay which leads to a host of rocky (semi-sandy) beaches. We feel very fortunate to have found a place so centrally located.

Lucy and Simone have adjusted well. Generally, people here are very nice and it’s easy to pick up conversation. It is a very kid friendly country. It’s simply “brilliant” to be here (a fav word of the Irish, so I am told)! Our address is

46 Aengus House The Docks Galway, Ireland

We also have Skype # which I don’t know, but will let you know as soon as I get that figured out.

Slan for now (bye in Irish), xx Cori

Hello to Family and Friends, I won’t write much here since it’s all in the blog, but basically it’s an easy way to share a few pictures and anecdotes from our travels here settling into an apartment and traveling.  It’s unabridged and gonna get long (about 8 entries with 20 pictures so far) so read at your own risk – or just skim the pics.  It’s in reverse chronological order so start from the bottom the first time, then just log in and read the most recent ones whenever you like.  I’ll send a reminder in a few months. Here’s the link! Please share with others you feel would be interested and check it out whenever you’re bored. http://billiarhenry.wordpress.com/

Slainte (cheers), Kris
