Story: Don's Recalls... Man Over Board!

July 10, 2017 Brian Lee We were up at Lady Evelyn in Canada, paddling around in some old tin canoes. Gene wanted an adult beverage, and I had a beer in my canoe.

"Here!" I said, and threw one to him. My throw wasn't quite far enough. At that moment, Gene had a cigar in his mouth and a hat on his head. He reached out for the tossed beer, but the canoe tipped over... Gene went under water and wasn't coming back up. I only saw his hat floating on the surface. Just as I started to worry, Gene came up underneath his hat with the cigar still in his mouth. He puffed on his cigar—smoke billowing out—but no beer... -Don Henry- July 10, 2017 Brian Lee
