Album: Bainbridge Township Bicentennial 1817

Dear Family,

Many of you have been aware that Bainbridge Township celebrated their bicentennial this year. Did you know that this has also been a 200th year celebration for the Henry family? The Simon and Rhoda Henry family arrived in Bainbridge on November 1, 1817 and became the ninth family to settle in the township!

This fall, Aunt Dottie and I worked on a document to honor the Henry family’s longevity in the township for Bainbridge Township Historical Society’s bicentennial time capsule. The time capsule will be dedicated and stored at the Bainbridge Township Hall. The plan is to open it in 50 years ~ in 2067.

I am attaching an electronic copy of our Henry Family document for your reference. I am also attaching a copy of a recent Chagrin Valley Times article about the project.
