Geauga County Veterans Memorial Dedication Ceremony 11-08-09
Chip and I attended the Geauga County Veterans Memorial dedication ceremony. It was a gorgeous day and a moving service. The memorial is really beautifully done. It is located at on Ravenwood Drive in Claridon, Twp, just across from Geauga Hospital. All Geauga County veterans from all wars who served from the War of Independence thru current veterans will be listed on the walls. The following Henry’s will be there.
William – War 1812 to Mexican War
John – War 1812 to Mexican War
Carlos -Civil War to Spanish American War
Charles E. – Civil War (Captain Henry)
Edward E. – Civil War (brother of Captain Henry)
Charles A. -World War I
Fredrick H. – World War II
Gene – World War II
John W. – World War II
Donald G. – Korean War to Vietnam War
(Worth noting that Rick would be on this list except that he was not a resident of Geauga).
Other family Vets: Aunt Barbie, Andy and family member to be – Daryl Anderson!
