Album: M&M Engagement! 06-22-08

Michael A. and Michaela met 2 years ago. She is the sister of one of his John Carroll friends. He invited her to Findley Lake with her boyfriend for the 4th of July 2006 and managed to have them break up and have the boyfriend leave on that same weekend. Since then, it’s been mostly Haiti and Florida for visits for them while she has been finishing school. Since Michaela had just completed her Masters at JCU, and had plans on joining Mike in Ft. Lauderdale, he thought this was the perfect time to make the commitment and propose.

Here’s a few pics of the couple when they got back to the cabin. Mike proposed on one knee up by the caves during a riverwalk from the Shed to the Cabin. He couldn’t remember what he said to her, only that he almost passed out. She was so shocked she couldn’t remember what he said. W greeted them with champagne and toasts at the cabin.

The picture from when they looked a little better was from the night before when Mike was in a wedding for a friend from JCU (before the ring).

They drove to Florida last Sunday and then he left for Belize for work on Wed. We are anxiously waiting for the wedding plans to unfold! and we are very happy with the promise of Michaela joining the Henry family. by Laura Henry ( Mother of the Groom!)
