Album: Welcome Alivia
Patrick and Lori are Grandparents!! October 29, 2009
Dear Family and Friends, Some of you are getting this news for the first time. Our daughter had her first child on 10/29. Very healthy, 19.5 inches, 8.5 lbs, and very healthy. The mother is also doing great. They are living in Seattle and we have a plan to spend Thanksgiving with them in Seattle. No western name for the baby yet. Robyn and Heath did choose an Inupiaq Eskimo name, Qaq iq Sin Naur Aq (pronounced ‘kuk eek seen YOUR’ uk’). The baby is named after Karen, Robyn’s aunt, who was killed in a car accident about 4 years ago. Linda spent some real quality time getting to know Karen when she was in the arctic. In the Inupiat culture, it is customary to name a baby after someone who has passed (probably part of the belief that our ancestors continue to live through us). Please practice saying this because this is the only name we have for our little granddaughter. A more traditionally Western name is coming. Patrick
Robyn and Heath have decided to give their new daughter another name that is a bit easier to pronounce, and it is a beautiful one…..I am honored to introduce my grand daughter, Alivia Elenor Coro, AKA Liv Coro
