Hi John Henrys, How are you all doing? I thought you’d find this amusing… I received a call early this AM from Ed Mulkern, the President of The Board of Trustees at Findley Lake… saying that I had been elected to The Board and that my primary responsibility was The Fishery! …and getting it back to where it was “20 years ago”. The primary reason I was elected was because they all knew Uncle John and they said that no one had done anything with the fishery and the NY State Stocking Program since he was in charge of it back in the 80’s and early 90’s. He said they once had a huge Musky population but some illegal chemicals killed off all of the Musky Fry, leaving only the Tiger Muskies, which do not produce offspring. (Kind of sounds like an old joke, right?)

When I told them that John Henry was my uncle and that the FL fishery was where my primary interests lie, I was pretty much a “shoe in” from there! So here’s to YOUR DAD!!! It will be interesting to go back in the records and see what he did and how he did it prior to the “turn of the century”! I’ll keep you posted… Please let your Mom know the news… she’ll get a kick out of it! Scott
